Choose Packers cotton or fleece for your next sewing project. Compare four specific fabrics, then check width, cut length, print placement and care before ordering.

For a Green Bay Packers quilt, pillow cover or table runner, start with cotton yardage. For a soft throw or a tie-blanket project, look at polyester fleece. Then check the exact print, usable width and cut length. Two listings can show the same team colors while supplying very different materials.

This guide compares four specific Packers fabrics by project fit, fiber content and ordering details. The product links lead to the retailer’s own listings so you can check the current print and select the amount you need.

Choose the fabric for your project

  • Wide cotton for sewn projects: Packers on Green 6317, listed at 58 inches wide.
  • A lighter background: Packers on White 1026, also listed at 58 inches wide.
  • A soft fleece throw: Packers on Green s6322df, a 60-inch-wide polyester fleece.
  • A 44-inch cotton option: Footballs and Helmets 70526D, useful to compare with a pattern written around narrower yardage.

All four are fabric sold by length. Allow separately for lining, backing, batting, thread and any closures required by your chosen pattern.

Four Green Bay Packers fabrics to compare

1. Packers on Green cotton 6317: wide yardage for sewn fan projects

Field’s Fabrics identifies this green-background print as 6317, with its own part number D174.02. The listing specifies 100% cotton and a 58-inch width. Its listed minimum order is half a yard.

This is a practical starting point for a sewn pillow cover, a quilt section or a tote project whose pattern calls for cotton. Lay out the pieces before deciding how much to buy: extra width only helps when the pieces fit across it in the direction you want the print to face.

For washing, the retailer specifies a cold gentle cycle and low tumble drying, with prompt removal or line drying. Confirm the care information supplied with your actual cut, particularly if you pair it with a contrasting backing.

2. Packers on White cotton 1026: an alternative background color

The 1026 print, retailer part number D174.03, puts the team design on a white background. Field’s lists 100% cotton, a 58-inch width and a half-yard minimum order. Its cold-wash, gentle-cycle care instructions match the green cotton option above.

Choose this one when a lighter background suits the room or the other blocks in a quilt. Place your planned border or lining beside the product image before committing to a color combination; a screen is only a starting point for matching shades.

For a small pouch or patchwork block, ask about the motif size. A full-width photograph can make a design look smaller than it will appear on a finished six-inch panel. If a complete team emblem matters to the project, plan the cutting layout around it.

3. Packers on Green fleece s6322df: for a fleece throw project

For fleece, check the material name as well as the team. Field’s lists s6322df, part number A350.01, as 100% polyester and 60 inches wide. It says multiple yards are supplied as one continuous cut, with a half-yard minimum and a 10-yard limit per order.

Consider this option for a throw pattern designed for fleece. For a two-layer project, order the backing separately and check its width before cutting. A matching length does not guarantee two fabrics have matching widths.

The listed care is a warm machine wash, no bleach and low tumble drying; the retailer also says not to iron it. Keep those instructions with the finished gift. The listing includes a children’s-sleepwear warning, so do not turn a blanket recommendation into a pajama recommendation.

4. Footballs and Helmets cotton 70526D: a narrower-width option

Field’s identifies this green football-and-helmet print as 70526D, part number D174.20. It is listed as 100% cotton, 44 inches wide, with a half-yard minimum. The specified care is cold gentle washing and low tumble drying, with prompt removal or line drying.

The width is the important distinction here. If your pattern gives a cutting plan for 44-inch fabric, this option is worth comparing with that plan. Check whether the pattern assumes the full stated width or a smaller usable width after trimming the selvages.

Do not transfer a yardage estimate from a 58-inch fabric without rechecking the layout. A row of pieces that fits across the wider cotton may need a second row on this one, increasing the length you need to order.

Check yardage before comparing prices

Write down the finished size, then use your pattern’s cutting dimensions. Seam allowances, hems, overlap closures, fringe and print placement all affect the amount required. The finished dimensions alone do not tell you what to buy.

  1. Confirm the selling unit. A yard is 36 inches along the bolt. Half a yard is 18 inches long; neither measurement describes the width. A listing priced per half-yard can look cheaper than one priced per full yard.
  2. Check the fabric width. The options here range from 44 to 60 inches. Use the actual listing’s width in your layout, and leave room for trimming where your pattern requires it.
  3. Ask about a continuous cut. If you need one long piece, confirm that the seller can supply it. Several separate one-yard pieces may not work for the same project as a continuous three-yard length.
  4. Allow for placement. If you want an emblem centered on a pillow, account for where it repeats. Turning a piece sideways to save fabric may also turn the design sideways.
  5. Check the return terms before cutting or washing. Save the product number and your order details so you can identify the fabric if a question comes up.

Here is a simple planning example: 1½ yards provides 54 inches of untrimmed length. If your chosen blanket pattern uses four-inch fringe at both short ends, that leaves 46 inches between the fringe roots before any other trimming. This is arithmetic for planning, not a universal blanket size or a substitute for the pattern’s instructions.

Where to look for licensed Packers fabric

Fabric Traditions describes its NFL prints as officially licensed and available on cotton, fleece and flannel. The company says it does not sell directly to consumers. Its retailer and distributor directory includes Field’s Fabrics and advises shoppers to check with the seller for a particular print.

Another direct retail source is Hobby Lobby, which has separate listings for Packers cotton, SKU 955252, and Packers fleece, SKU 955245. Both are listed at 58–60 inches wide and sold online in full-yard increments. These are retailer-specific identifiers; compare the actual print rather than assuming they match another shop’s product number.

Save a photo of the bolt label or selvage information when you buy. If you later need more, a team name and the word “green” may be too vague to find the same design.

Prepare the fabric and respect its stated use

For washable cotton projects, SINGER recommends prewashing and drying cotton before cutting to account for shrinkage. Follow the care instructions for your particular fabric and prepare the backing or coordinating fabric as its own supplier recommends. Measure again afterward. Do not assume a generic shrinkage percentage predicts the result for a particular print.

The reviewed retailer listings carry sleepwear restrictions. Hobby Lobby labels both its cotton and fleece options “Not For Sleepwear,” while the Field’s listings warn against children’s sleepwear. Keep these materials to projects consistent with those instructions. The CPSC explains that children’s sleepwear has specific flammability requirements; cotton or polyester content alone does not establish suitability.

Also read the individual-use wording before planning items for sale. These listings state individual-use restrictions. If you intend to sell finished goods, obtain advice about the particular fabric and your intended use rather than assuming a retail purchase settles permission questions. The NFL’s commercial licensing process is separate and describes written product-license agreements. This buying guide does not determine resale rights.

Before you order

Choose the pattern first, then match its material requirements. For sewn decor, compare the three cotton prints by width and background color. For a fleece throw, start with s6322df and confirm the backing and cut length. Check the exact product code, yardage unit, print scale and care label before placing the order. That short checklist is more useful than buying whichever listing shows the biggest team logo.
