Compare three VixSkin models by documented dimensions, silicone construction and care requirements, with practical checks before ordering.

If you are comparing soft realistic dildos, start with dimensions, documented material and the care instructions you can follow. This guide compares three adult VixSkin models from Vixen Creations: Colt, Tex and Mustang. They offer different size combinations within the same silicone range.

This is a comparison of manufacturer specifications, not a hands-on test or a market-wide ranking. “Soft” is a qualitative description here; we have not measured firmness or tested how any model feels. The links identify the named models. Confirm your chosen color and exact package before ordering.

Three VixSkin models at a glance

Model Listed length, excluding base Listed flat width Reason to compare it
Colt 5¾ inches 1½ inches The narrowest listed width of these three
Tex 5¼ inches 1 9/16 inches The shortest listed length of these three
Mustang 6½ inches 1⅝ inches The longest and widest of these three

Vixen’s size chart lists length excluding the base and flat width at the widest point. These are not circumference measurements. The maker notes that handmade dimensions can vary by up to ⅛ inch, so treat the figures as nominal rather than exact measurements of the item you will receive.

Colt: compare it when width matters most

VixSkin Colt has a listed length of 5¾ inches and width of 1½ inches. Its width is the smallest in this comparison, although its length falls between Tex and Mustang. That makes it a useful model to compare when you want a narrower option without choosing the shortest one.

Vixen identifies Colt as silicone with a solid inner core. That construction description does not tell us its measured firmness or guarantee personal comfort. Choose from its dimensions and documentation, rather than assuming that a soft-material label makes the size irrelevant.

Tex: a shorter option with a little more width

VixSkin Tex is listed at 5¼ inches long and 1 9/16 inches wide. It is shorter than Colt but slightly wider, so “smaller” would be an incomplete description. Tex is worth comparing when shorter length matters more to you than selecting the narrowest width.

The Tex page lists silicone construction and a solid inner core. Its page also lists a non-slip base. Vixen’s care page says its ordinary bases are not true suction cups and does not guarantee a strong grip on every surface. Do not choose it on an assumption of suction mounting.

Mustang: the largest dimensions in this shortlist

VixSkin Mustang is listed at 6½ inches long and 1⅝ inches wide. Vixen describes a solid inner core with an outer silicone layer. It is the longest and widest choice here, so compare both measurements with your requirements before deciding that it is the right option.

The manufacturer also links separate decorative color editions from the Mustang page. Check the exact model and selected edition at the destination; a shared name or similar photograph is not enough to confirm a reseller’s color, package or specifications.

What the material information does and does not tell you

Vixen describes VixSkin as 100% platinum silicone and a flexible formulation. Its care guide identifies VixSkin among its softer silicone formulas. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not our laboratory findings. They do not establish which of these three will feel softest to you.

For any adult toy, look for a named maker, a clear material statement and instructions for that exact model. Treat unsupported “medical-grade,” “body-safe” or certification badges cautiously. This comparison does not independently certify any product or make a medical-treatment claim.

Cleaning, compatibility and storage

Follow the current Vixen care instructions supplied for your model. The points below apply to these products; do not transfer them automatically to a different brand or an electronic toy.

  • Clean before first use and after use. Vixen specifies fragrance-free soap and water for regular cleaning.
  • Use only water-based lubricant with these models. Vixen warns against silicone and hybrid lubricants, including silicone-lubricated condoms.
  • Let the item dry completely, then store it separately in its original packaging or a very soft fabric covering. Keep it away from other brands’ toys.
  • Avoid sharp edges and fasteners that could cut or abrade the surface. Remove it from a harness before storage.

The NHS sexual health service in St Helens notes that germs can remain on toys after use and recommends cleaning after every use according to the packaging. A material description does not replace hygiene.

Buying checks before checkout

Write down the exact model, listed length and width, color, and what is included in the package. Compare the final delivered price and seller terms at checkout. Vixen’s product pages state that intimate-toy sales are final, making the size check especially important. No current price, stock level or bundle is assumed here.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the smallest of these three?

Colt has the narrowest listed width; Tex has the shortest listed length. Choose the measurement that matters to your purchase rather than treating “smallest” as a single specification.

Does soft mean the whole product is equally flexible?

No such conclusion follows from the descriptions. All three pages list a solid inner core, and Mustang explicitly describes a separate outer silicone layer. The sources do not provide comparable measured firmness ratings.

Can they all be cleaned the same way?

The maker’s general instructions give soap-and-water cleaning for these silicone products. Always check the instructions supplied with the exact model, particularly if considering another product or brand.

Which one should I choose?

Start with the table and your preferred dimensions. Then check the exact listing and care requirements. The available documentation supports a size comparison, but it cannot establish a universally best model or predict your experience.
