Compare three everyday bras and briefs from Aimerfeel and Wacoal, with practical advice on Japanese sizing, materials, care and returns.

Cute Japanese lingerie can mean floral lace, soft colors, satin trim and small bows on everyday bras and briefs. For adult shoppers, the useful question is how those details work with the fit, coverage and support you actually want. Start with a recognizable brand, measure before ordering, and check the return rules before buying a matching set.

Aimerfeel began in Kobe, Japan, while Wacoal has roots in Kyoto. Both offer practical ways to explore the look. A Japanese brand name does not, by itself, tell you where an individual garment was manufactured or which country’s sizing the retailer uses.

Three styles worth comparing

1. Aimerfeel Side Support Lace Push-Up Bra, style 603713

Aimerfeel style 603713 in White-Pink.

This is the most decorative bra in this shortlist: floral lace covers the cups and band, with a small center bow. The official style 603713 listing specifies nylon and spandex, underwire cups, adjustable straps, removable pads and a three-hook, three-column closure. Its construction also includes side boning and a low-center, L-shaped wire.

Consider it if you want lace and adjustable padding in an everyday wired bra. The trade-off is a more structured garment than a simple bralette. Check whether the higher sides and cup shape suit you, and assess the lace under the tops you plan to wear. Buy the bra for its fit before committing to coordinating briefs.

2. Wacoal Embrace Lace T-Shirt Bra, style 853191

For a quieter version of the look, Wacoal’s Embrace Lace T-Shirt Bra in Sand/Ivory combines smooth, lightly padded cups with floral lace around the band and center. It has underwires, mid-coverage stretch-foam cups, adjustable straps and a hook-and-eye back closure.

This is a useful comparison if you prefer a smooth cup surface for everyday outfits but still want decorative trim. It is a Wacoal America product, so use that retailer’s size guidance rather than applying a Japanese domestic size automatically. It is also a bra-only purchase: coordinating underwear shown in styling photographs should not be assumed to come with it.

3. Aimerfeel Satin Lace Bikini Panty, style 670921

Aimerfeel style 670921 in Pink.

The Satin Lace Bikini Panty offers satin panels, lace trim and a bow in a conventional bikini cut. Its listed fibers are polyester, nylon and spandex. That matters if you were expecting silk from the word “satin”: the finish and the fiber content are different pieces of information.

The product chart lists M for hips measuring 87–95 cm, L for 92–100 cm and XL for 97–105 cm. Measure your hips and use those ranges instead of copying your usual letter size. The overlapping ranges also make comfort at the waistband and leg openings worth checking. Choose a coordinated color if you like, but size the bra and briefs independently.

Japanese sizing: avoid a straight label swap

Use the brand’s current measurement guide before consulting a conversion chart. Aimerfeel recommends a lightly lined bra for measuring, with the tape level around the underbust and around the fullest part of the bust. Heavy padding or a compression sports bra can change the measurement.

Its guide uses the bust-minus-underbust difference to find a starting cup size. Its example is an 85 cm bust and 70 cm underbust, giving C70. Japanese band labels such as 65, 70 and 75 are not literal U.S. band labels, and cup-letter sequences also differ across markets. Conversion gets you a starting point; cup shape, padding and construction still affect fit.

Do not apply one blanket “size up” rule to every Japanese bra. If the cups seem right but the band does not, ask about sister sizing. If the cup shape itself is wrong, a different size alone may not solve it. Keep tags attached while checking fit within the retailer’s try-on rules.

Materials, comfort and care

Read the complete fabric listing, including any separate cup lining or gusset information. Lace is a construction, not a promise of cotton, silk or softness. Look closely at seams, elastic edges and the inside of the garment, especially if you already know which fabrics or trims bother you.

Follow the garment’s care label. Wacoal recommends hand-washing bras, avoiding wringing or twisting, and drying them flat or on a line. Its 853191 product instructions specify warm hand-washing with like colors and line drying. Removable pads and decorative trims deserve separate attention if the label gives additional directions.

Check returns before ordering internationally

For U.S. shoppers using Aimerfeel’s global store, its return guidance says to contact customer service within seven days of delivery and obtain confirmation before sending anything back. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. Check the exact item’s eligibility and preserve its tags and packaging.

Wacoal America’s policy asks for returns within 45 days of the original ship date, requires its returns system, and excludes final-sale items. Items must be unworn and unwashed, with original tags. Compare the delivered total, return destination and item-specific restrictions before checkout. A carefully chosen first purchase is more useful than a large set order based only on matching colors.
