FSU Bedding: A Seminoles Comforter and Throw to Compare

Compare a licensed Florida State comforter and throw, check what is included, and choose the right mattress size for a dorm or home bedroom.

For an FSU-themed bed, decide whether you need a full-size bed cover or just a team accent. A comforter covers the bed; a 50-by-60-inch throw is a smaller layer for a chair or the foot of the bed. Neither automatically includes sheets or pillowcases.

These two College Covers options are genuinely Florida State Seminoles items. The comparison uses manufacturer information and matching product listings rather than testing or arbitrary scores.

Quick comparison

Item Verified size Includes Best fit
Reversible Big Logo comforter, Full 80 by 90 inches One comforter A full-size home bed or a measured layering setup
Raschel throw 50 by 60 inches One throw blanket A team accent over existing bedding

1. College Covers reversible FSU comforter

The verified Full version is a polyester comforter with a large logo on one side and an all-over print on the reverse. It is a straightforward choice when the team design should be the main feature of the room.

Check the contents: this is a comforter only. The manufacturer’s product page says matching pillowcases and other bedding are sold separately. It lists distinct Twin, Full and Queen dimensions, so do not assume the size selected in the cart matches the largest photo.

The care directions call for cold-water washing with like colors and low-heat drying, using a suitably large washer and dryer. Check the sewn-in care label and your laundry equipment before choosing a bulky comforter.

2. College Covers FSU raschel throw

The 50-by-60-inch polyester raschel throw is the simpler choice if you already have comfortable bedding and want a licensed Seminoles accent. It can sit across the foot of a bed or be used as a separate lounge blanket.

Its limitation is coverage: this is not a Twin XL sheet, a bedspread or a complete bed-in-a-bag set. Measure where you want it to fall rather than treating “blanket” and “comforter” as interchangeable terms. The listing identifies it as machine washable; follow the actual item’s care label.

Check dorm size separately

For an FSU residence hall, consult the current University Housing guidance and your room assignment. Extra-long twin sheets and a Full comforter are different purchases. A loose top layer can overhang, but a fitted sheet needs the correct mattress length, width and pocket depth, including any topper.

A practical shopping checklist

  • Confirm “Florida State Seminoles” and the exact selected design, not Florida Gators or another school.
  • Look for an explicit licensing statement and buy from an identifiable seller.
  • Count the included pieces. Styled pillows, sheets and bed skirts may be props.
  • Check the fabric and care label. A team logo does not tell you whether the material suits how warm you sleep.
  • Measure before choosing a size and review the seller’s return conditions.

What if you prefer a simpler room?

Use plain bedding in a fabric you already like, then add a licensed team throw or pillowcase. Garnet-and-gold colors alone can create a coordinated room, but an unbranded color scheme should not be advertised as official FSU merchandise.
