For polarized replacement lenses that fit Oakley Batwolf sunglasses, start with the frame code OO9101. Batwolf uses one continuous shield lens. Replacement lenses for Gascan, Fuel Cell, Holbrook, Flak or Radar frames are different parts, even when the tint has the same name.
Three options worth comparing are Oakley’s Black Iridium Polarized and Sapphire Iridium Polarized shields, plus Revant’s Standard Polarized Stealth Black replacement. The useful differences are the maker, finish and amount of visible light transmitted. Polarization, UV filtering and impact protection are separate features.
Three polarized Batwolf replacement choices
| Exact replacement | Identification | Visible light transmission | Main reason to choose it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oakley Black Iridium Polarized | 43-352; variant 700285524771 | 9%; grey base | Original Oakley part with the darkest stated transmission of these three |
| Oakley Sapphire Iridium Polarized | 101-514-008; variant 888392146120 | 13%; grey base | Original Oakley part with a blue mirror finish |
| Revant Stealth Black, Standard Polarized | 0040-S0-2P-24-00-P0; variant 40377846497357 | 12%; grey base | Third-party replacement with a non-mirrored dark finish |
These figures are the manufacturers’ stated visible light transmission, or VLT. A lower percentage lets less visible light through; it does not prove better UV protection or stronger impact resistance. All three are bright-light options, so avoid choosing them for night or low-light use.
1. Oakley Black Iridium Polarized, 43-352
Oakley’s Black Iridium Polarized replacement is the original-brand choice for a dark, grey-base shield. Oakley identifies it as code 43-352, size U, with 9% light transmission and lens category 3. The product page specifically limits fit to Batwolf OO9101.
This is a replacement shield, not a complete pair of sunglasses. Check that the selected option still says Black Iridium Polarized when ordering: Oakley also lists a separate Black Iridium option without polarization. A dark or mirrored appearance alone does not establish that you selected the polarized version.
2. Oakley Sapphire Iridium Polarized, 101-514-008
The Sapphire Iridium Polarized shield changes the outward appearance to a blue mirror finish while retaining a grey base tint. Oakley specifies code 101-514-008, size U, 13% light transmission and lens category 3, again for Batwolf OO9101.
Its higher VLT means it transmits more visible light than the 9% Black Iridium Polarized option. That is a useful tint difference, but it is still a bright-light lens. Select the full “Sapphire Iridium Polarized” name; the manufacturer’s range also includes a separate non-polarized Sapphire Iridium lens. Neither “Iridium” nor generic Prizm wording elsewhere on a page should replace that exact variant check.
3. Revant Standard Polarized Stealth Black
The Revant Stealth Black Standard Polarized option is a third-party lens made for Batwolf OO9101. Its exact SKU is 0040-S0-2P-24-00-P0. Revant lists optical polycarbonate, a neutral grey view, 12% light transmission and one shield lens, with a protective microfiber bag and lens-care instructions. The frame is not included.
Choose both the Stealth Black color and Standard Polarized lens type. The same color is also sold in the non-polarized Standard tier, and the product photo is shared between those variants. The written selected option and SKU establish polarization, not the image.
This is a reasonable option to compare when you want a dark non-mirrored finish from a replacement-lens specialist. It is not an Oakley-made part. Do not assume it reproduces Oakley’s coatings, optical specifications or certification because it fits the frame.
Confirm the frame and dimensions
Read the model code on your frame before buying. Oakley’s Batwolf size information lists a 40.7 mm lens height, 127 mm frame width and 130 mm arm length. The current frame page identifies the example as OO9101-5727; the replacement pages specify the broader OO9101 frame family.
Those are frame-fit measurements, not a cutting template for the loose lens. The replacement is a continuous shield, and the selected Oakley parts are marked size U. Do not interpret a short size number in a marketplace title as the full shield width, or buy a two-lens replacement set for a different Oakley model based on a similar measurement.
If the frame code is unreadable, compare it with the maker’s Batwolf photos and ask the seller to confirm the fit before ordering. A cracked, distorted or loose frame needs assessment too; fitting a new shield does not repair frame damage.
Keep polarization, UV and impact claims separate
Polarization reduces reflected glare, such as glare from water and roads. It is the reason to choose the polarized variants above. A mirror finish is an outward coating appearance, and a tint’s darkness is described by VLT; neither substitutes for an explicit polarization specification.
UV protection addresses ultraviolet radiation. Oakley describes its sun lenses as providing 100% UV protection up to 400 nm. Revant states that its Batwolf lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB. These are manufacturer claims about UV filtering, separate from polarization and the visible tint.
Impact resistance does not mean bulletproof, shatterproof or automatically approved for workplace hazards. Revant says its replacement lenses are not engineered for industrial safety applications under ANSI Z87.1 and explains that the lens must be tested in the frame to receive that rating. Changing to a third-party shield does not transfer an original assembly’s certification to the new combination. Use eyewear specifically rated for the task when impact protection is required.
Never use these sunglasses to look directly at the sun or an eclipse. The FDA’s sunglasses guidance also distinguishes ordinary sunglasses from industrial safety eyewear and warns against direct solar viewing.
Before fitting a new shield
Confirm the exact model, tint, polarized tier, quantity and return conditions first. Follow the selected manufacturer’s Batwolf installation instructions, handle the lens by its edges and stop if the frame is damaged or the replacement will not seat properly. Once fitted, check for gaps, movement or visual distortion before wearing it.
Choose Oakley Black Iridium Polarized for its original-brand identity and lower stated VLT, Sapphire Iridium Polarized for the blue mirror finish, or Revant Standard Polarized Stealth Black for the third-party non-mirrored option. Matching OO9101 and the exact polarized variant matters more than a generic “fits Oakley” label.
